Sports
Game on!
Sports play an important role in life at SIS and are organised through our Sports Association. We offer a wide range of sports activities so that every student can take part, stay active, and enjoy being part of a team. Students can join sports for fun and fitness, compete in friendly House events, or represent SIS in competitive leagues and tournaments.

“Our sports programme believes in the power of inclusion and character. Here, everyone is welcome to join in the fun and challenge of sports. Our focus is on participation and fostering good sportsmanship, ensuring a positive and supportive environment for all to learn, grow, and enjoy being active together.”
Magnus FogelströmSports Director
With 11 different sports to choose from – including basketball, football, swimming and tennis – there is truly something for everyone, from beginners to experienced athletes. SIS teams compete in international events such as the Nordic Network Schools Tournaments and the Nordic League.
SIS is also the proud founder of the Stockholm International League (SIL), giving our students even more opportunities to compete, grow in confidence, and show teamwork and sportsmanship. Through sport, SIS students develop healthy habits, resilience, and a strong sense of school spirit.
Our 2025-26 Sports brochure provides information on the full range of sports on offer for different grades. You will also find information on coaching, locations, local and international tournaments in which we participate, and the full sports schedule for the year.
