Originally from Los Angeles, California, Roland has lived in Sweden over 30 years, raising 2 boys and 1 girl during that time. He has worked as a skill developer in Basketball, American Football, and Baseball in the US and Europe, and has been National Team Coach in Flagg Football, Swedish National Champs American Football. He also has a keen interest in surfing and basketball.

In his leisure time he enjoys playing backgammon, reading, and being with his family.
