CPR training
Ahead of the new term starting, SIS staff had some very important training to go through as part of our commitment to creating a safe environment within the School. Outside specialists were brought in to run sessions on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), how to respond to cuts and injuries of various levels of severity, and how Swedish services can be called upon in an emergency. Our school nurses took us through handling medical episodes associated with anaphylaxis – an extreme allergic reaction, diabetes, and seizures.
Security experts also delivered awareness training and offered practical advice on making our campus safe and secure, and mitigating risk in other areas of activity.
The training is part of a regular cycle that ensures staff are acquainted with best practice and aware of the options available to them when a medical or security episode occurs.
