Erasmus+ students get to work

The Erasmus+ programme at SIS is one of the most firmly established programmes allowing students to pursue interests and share experiences outside the classroom. Linked with partner schools in other EU countries, students get to travel to experience the culture, cuisine, and lifestyle in other countries. And, of course, to play host to the partner schools in Stockholm.

But alongside the fun, Erasmus+ students have some serious work to do, and some of it means getting their hands dirty.

Erasmus+ team get to know the EU

Erasmus+ is an organisation set up by the EU. So, our Erasmus+ 2025/26 team have started off getting to know about the EU and how it functions across the member states such as Sweden. The team visited the EU exhibition at Kulturhuset where they went on a guided tour, which was a great introduction to how the EU cabinet functions.

Exploration of the EU, Europe, Sweden, and our partner schools over the next few months will expand minds and understanding of countries, cultures and languages.

Erasmus+ team out for the annual ‘Håll Sverige Rent’ clean up 

‘Håll Sverige Rent’ is the annual clean-up operation to encourage everyone to go out and clean their neighbourhoods, parks, schools, and so on. Erasmus+ teams have gone to our local parks in the heart of Stockholm to clean up for several years, and it’s always a great time to bond…over a clean-up effort. The team went out and picked up litter around the park and bus stops. The positive was that we didn’t find that much, but it was also a reminder of how the litter could be confused for food by animals and yet another reason not to just cast rubbish aside. Sporting soft, new SIS and Erasmus+ branded hoodies, passers by could see that SIS students are committed to keeping their city a welcoming environment.
