New Trustees join SIS

The SIS Board of Trustees has three new members, who were officially appointed in the board meeting in June of this year.

The new Trustees are: Helénè Barnekow, a board professional and leadership consultant and a parent of SIS alumnae; Sunit Mehrota, parent of a current SIS student and founder and CEO of the communications agency King, with 30 years experience in the communications business;  and Peter Sandberg, Deputy CEO of Stockholm Chamber of Commerce. You can read a little more about all our trustees here on the website.

The SIS Board of Trustees is responsible for appointing the Director of SIS who then takes charge of the day-to-day running of the School. They also establish the strategic direction of the School, and ensure sound financial management of the School’s resources and investments. Trustees have a significant responsibility and put considerable effort into the role, yet all trustees give freely of their time, receiving no remuneration.
