Something in the city…

One of the great things about being located in the heart of Stockholm, is that our students can take advantage of the rich resources a vibrant city like Stockholm offers right on our doorstep.

Earlier in January, Kindergarten classes visited the nearby city library (Stadsbiblioteket) to discover more about how a big library works. They were able to explore the book collections and see how the books are sorted by the robot control system. As well as getting to see a wide range of books in a range of languages, the students also got a chance to see – and feel – braille books for the visually impaired. And of course, no library visit at that age would be complete without Story Time.

Early age library visits like this help our students to enjoy the wealth of books available, fires their imagination, and encourages them to get the most from their library in school and locally.
