Alexandra Alstergren

Alexandra was born and raised in Vancouver, BC, Canada where she began working with children from a very early age. While completing her studies, Alexandra worked in various daycares, summer camps, and she combined her love of children and horses, by working several summers at a children’s horse ranch. Alexandra graduated from Simon Fraser University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and a Bachelor of Education with Minors in Curriculum Development and Special Education.

She moved to Stockholm Sweden in 2009 after meeting her husband while backpacking across South East Asia. Alexandra has worked as a Learning Support Teacher at Stockholm International School for the past 14 years. She enjoys being part of such a special international community and considers it a great privilege and responsibility to work with students from all over the world. Alexandra believes in a holistic approach to education and helps students discover a love for learning while guiding them towards reaching their full potential. During her free time, Alexandra enjoys spending time with her family and travelling the world.
