Ashrita Das

It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself to you as the homeroom teacher of Grade 1V. My name is Ashrita Das. Teaching has been my passion and I have had the opportunity of being a primary school teacher for over twenty years in international schools across Asia and Europe, employing the IB, Cambridge and IPC curriculum. I did my Bachelor of Education from Queen’s University, Ontario, Canada and my Masters in Personnel Management from the University of Pune, India.

I came to Stockholm with my husband, Atonu, in 2010 and for both of us, this gorgeous city has become home. We love to experience the many hues of this beautiful planet through our travels. For me, every new school year is filled with excitement to learn from my students and colleagues, to see how we can build a caring and kind community, and to see student’s creativity and curiosity unfold. My classroom is student-centred with a focus on positivity, empathy, and teamwork. I encourage my students to take responsibility for their own learning and to help each other achieve their goals. I am looking forward to getting to know your children and having lots of fun learning in Grade 1!
