Brad Roets

MYP Coordinator and MYP Science Teacher

My name is Brad Roets and I am currently the MYP Coordinator at SIS. My family and I are South African and have lived in Sweden since 2016.

I have had a varied career in education, and in South Africa taught Prep School Science, Geography, and English. I taught high school English, Geography, Drama and Sports Science. I have coached Swimming and provincial-level Water Polo.

Since living in Sweden and being at SIS, I have taught MYP English, Mathematics and Science; been the Nepal Project Coordinator; HOD of Science and been Grade 6 Level leader. I suppose my career reflects my passion for knowing and experiencing as much as possible and making connections between it all. Something I hope I inspire in the students I teach.

When I am not at work, I am a passionate endurance cyclist, a full-time husband and a dad to two young boys. As a family, we love the forest and are avid foragers of mushrooms, berries, and other forest foods.
