Deidre Smith

MYP EAL Teacher, DP English B Teacher, and Secondary Subject Leader for EAL

Deidre is from Melbourne, Australia. After completing her undergraduate studies at RMIT, she traveled around Europe before returning to complete a Post Graduate Diploma in Education at Victoria College (now part of Deakin University). After teaching English in Japan for a year, she returned to Australia.

She taught English, ESL, drama and media studies in an Australian secondary college for 10 years before moving to Sweden. In Sweden, she taught English at various Swedish high schools before beginning to teach EAL at SIS in 2008.
