Katalin Pongo

Middle and Upper School Learning Commons Specialist

Katalin joined SIS in 2017 and has been working for both the Learning Support and the EAL Departments before joining the EdTEch Team. She earned her BA in Elementary Education (literature, linguistics and communication) in 2004 and just recently completed her M.Ed. in Advanced Teaching.

Katalin is intrigued by the kids’ genuine curiosity about the world around them therefore specialises in inquiry and activity based, student centred learning. She is thriving in multicultural environments and values every and each cultural heritage in a diverse classroom. Katalin is an enthusiastic Lego Educator and devoted to implementing makerspace education in Language, Literature, and Social Studies classes.

She is originally from Hungary but has been living and working internationally in Japan, Germany, and now in Sweden ,for the last 20 years. Katalin loves reading books, learning languages and travelling to explore new cultures.
