Shaila is from India and has been in Stockholm for the past 7 years. She studied her Master’s in Human Development and worked as Academic counsellor and business developer for a couple of years in India and Australia. After coming to Stockholm she started working as a mother tongue teacher in IES schools and realised how much fun it is to work with younger children.

She lives in Stockholm with her husband and two wonderful daughters. Though a teacher at school, she is a student at home because of her children who teach her new things and give her new challenges every day.

During her free time Shaila loves to take a long walk or go cycling in nature with the music on, and she loves cooking.
