The SIS Sports Association’s programme offers a wide range of sports and is always inclusive, competitive and enjoyable. Our philosophy is to challenge our students and to focus on good sportsmanship, respect and cooperation. At SIS we want our students to have fun, to compete but also to learn the importance of an active, healthy and balanced lifestyle.

The Sports Association (SA) offers Badminton (grades 6-12), Basketball (grades 1-12), Cheerleading (grades 6-12), Football (grades 1-12), Gymnastics (grades 1-5), Jujutsu (grades 6-12), Padel (grades 6-12), Swimming & Rescue (grades 6-12), Table Tennis (grades 6-12), Tennis (grades 6-12) and Volleyball (grades 1-12) – all levels of experience are welcome. Students can sign up for several sports.
Our football program is run by coaches from Djurgården Academy. Students practice twice a week at Östermalm IP.
SIS is a member of two international school organisations: Nordic Network Sports Tournament (NNST) and the Nordic Sports League (NSL). SIS is also the founder and takes part in the local Stockholm International League (SIL). SIL provides opportunities for international schools located in the Stockholm area to compete in specified sport leagues activities.

The Sports Association is a non-profit organisation affiliated with Stockholm International School, composed of SIS students, parents, faculty, who offer before and after school sporting teams to the students of SIS. Our aims are to educate the students about the advantages of working together towards a common goal, physical activity, sportsmanship and commitment, while participating in a competitive and fun environment.
