The SIS community, led by the Student Council and with the support of the SPC board has started organising an immediate drive to collect goods to be distributed among Ukrainian refugees in Sweden who have fled the war. They will be appealing to you to donate as much as you can to help.
Although all assistance is appreciated, there are specific requirements that are particularly in need and offer the most value when distributing among those in desperate circumstances. Please only contribute the following:
Blankets
Bed linens & pillows
Sleeping Bags
Yoga mats to sleep on
Towels
Kitchen items (plates, etc)
Baby Formula
Baby Food in jars
Bottles
Non-Perishable Food
Diapers
Wipes
Shampoo
Bars of Soap
Toothbrushes & Toothpaste
Razors
Feminine Hygiene Products
Baby Strollers
Wheelchairs
The drive starts today, Friday 25th March, and will continue through to Friday, April 1st. Collection boxes/points will be established by the Student Council in the main building, the annexes, and OPG as follows:
Main Building – Entry 2 Boxes
Annex B – Entry 1 Box
Annex C – Common Space 1 Box
OPG – Entry 1 Box
Our collections will be consolidated and students and parent volunteers will engage with the Red Cross to arrange the distribution of goods among refugees in Sweden.
