Pictures of food and performances at SIS International Day

Exotic food, exotic costumes, exotic birds… plastic kangaroos!?! It must be SIS International Day!

The SPC pulled out all the stops on March 18th to create a wonderful celebration of our international community. From a parade of traditional dress and music from all quarters of the world, a steady flow of people swathed themselves in colourful flags and vibrant bonhomie to banish the grey and damp weather outside.

But the star of the show as always was the food. From North American maple syrup treats, through Asian pastries, to African savouries – and not forgetting Swedish Fika – the fare on offer could not be ignored (though for one day the calories could). Bitter, salty, sour, sweet, and umami all vied for attention, and everyone was a winner!
