That’s the spirit!
It’s been a busy and exciting month for the SIS Spirit Fund – our annual fund that supports academic excellence and innovation, student projects, and innovation and campus regeneration activities. Through the gifts of donors, and the voluntary efforts of families, students, alumni, staff, and supporters, the SIS Spirit Fund enriches students’ experience here at SIS.
As the School reaches its 70th milestone we’ve launched our 70FOR70 campaign, and it began with a magnificent gesture from our Chair of the Board of Trustees, Lage Jonason. If you are in a position to make a small donation up to 1,000 SEK, Lage has promised to match it, up to a grand total of 70,000 SEK. If you donate a full 1,000 SEK, not only will your contribution be doubled, you’ll also join the parliament of Oggi’s Champions!
Already, just a few days since the initial announcement, we’ve reached 7,000 SEK – 10% of Lage’s target. With donations doubling this way, it’s an ideal time to make a gift to the fund. You can read more about Lage’s offer here and his very personal story of why he thinks education, and schools like SIS, are so important.
The school Director, Marisa León, is once again leading from the front, and this year is inviting you to join her in the Director’s Circle 21-22 – an initiative to garner significant donations from those supporters who feel they can contribute 7,000 SEK or more to the Fund.
Philip and Annika McCrea are supporters who demonstrate the value and impact of SIS. Having sent three children to the school, Philip now sits on the Board of Trustees. ‘We are delighted to join the Director’s Circle. The SIS Spirit Fund is a wonderful way to directly impact the experience of our students both today and into the future. I hope many others across our community will also be inspired to join.’
