1976: Mr Dennis Gould became Principal

1978: Renamed International School of Stockholm

1978: Mr Bill Brown become Principal

1979: A small choir from the school became the only singers to collaborate with ABBA by singing on the track “I have a Dream”.

1974: ABBA song, Waterloo, becomes the group’s first global hit, winning the Eurovision Song Contest.

1975: The last remaining governmental powers of the Swedish king and queen are removed by a new constitution.

1975: Sweden hosted the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time.

1976: Swedish tennis player Björn Borg won his first of five consecutive Wimbledon titles

1979: An amendment to the order of succession gave male and female heirs an equal claim to the throne.
